Keratin Treatment, and how does the treatment work?
Keratin hair treatment is a revolutionary process that softens, shines, straightens and makes the hair healthy. The system delivers results by penetrating the hair follicle to repair internal damage by coating the hair and preventing further damage. The results are smooth, silky and straight hair. It is not a chemical that restructures the hair. It is a replenishing treatment that reconditions, replenishes the naturally missing protein; protects the hair from water and heat damage while enhancing its natural shine.
A: The Keratin hair treatment is excellent on all types of chemically treated hair (bleached, hi-lights, colored, permed, relaxed or previously straightened. It is excellent for getting rid of curly, frizzy, damaged, unhealthy, dull, mistreated hair. However, as with all hair treatments, we recommend performing a strand test in a prior to application, particularly if you have light colored hair or if your hair has been bleached and/or chemically altered. For best results, apply the Keratin hair treatment 1-2 weeks prior to your color treatment.

A: Yes, the Keratin hair treatment can be used on virgin hair. Keratin hair treatment will loosen the curl and tame unwanted frizz for up to 60 to 90 days with only one application. Keratin hair treatment will also help make hair softer and tangle free. Hair can either be worn curly with no frizz or hair straight with very little styling required.
A: Keratin hair treatment is safe to use on previously relaxed hair. It will eliminate any frizz and will nourish the hair returning it to a healthy state.

Very important, The Keratin daily care/aftercare products (shampoo and conditioner) are a key component in prolonging the process. They are specially formulated without Sodium Chloride. Sodium Chloride, which is in a lot of hair care products, will diminish the effects of the Keratin Treatment faster than usual.

Yes, the Keratin hair treatment contains an ingredient that helps protect your hair from the heat of a flat iron.
For the initial application, you must use a flat iron at high heat (420-450 degrees) for best results and wear your hair straight for 48 hours. The high heat of the flat iron helps seal the keratin to your hair shaft. Keratin contains a thermal protectant ingredient that will protect your hair from the heat of the iron. It is very important that the client is instructed not to wash, or get their hair wet for at least 48 hours after the treatment.
